What are the Essentials?
The Essentials of Fundraising is a series of five 3-hour interactive workshops. These sessions address:
- Starting a development program
- Identifying and soliciting annual donors
- Seeking grant support
- Board and volunteer development
- Individual major gifts
These workshops will help you develop skills that can be tailored to your organization. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to network and develop relationships with some of the finest and most successful fundraisers in our community.
You will receive useful tools and materials, including sample fundraising plans, solicitation letters, policies and guidelines and other relevant fundraising resources. Participants who register for all five workshops in the series will also receive a complementary binder to keep your course handouts and materials all in one place..
Who should attend?
- Fundraising professionals new to the field (3 years or less) or anyone who wants to make sure they have a firm grasp on the latest trends in philanthropy
- Volunteers involved in raising money for their organizations
- Executive Directors and any staff responsible for fundraising
- Anyone wanting a comprehensive overview of basic fundraising theory and practice
What is the cost?
Attendees can participate in the entire series, or pick and choose sessions.
AFP members: $275/series (save $50) $65/session
Non-members: $375/series (save $50) $85/session

Workshop Times and Location
All sessions are located at the University of Arizona Foundation, Vine Avenue Annex Building, 1125 N. Vine. Each session runs from 9:00 AM to Noon. Please plan to arrive at 8:30 AM for registration and continental breakfast.
