About AFP:
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit, charitable organizations. Founded in 1960, AFP (formerly the National Society of Fund Raising Executives) advances philanthropy through its more than 30,000 members in 197 chapters throughout the world working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs.

The Southern Arizona Chapter includes members from Tucson, Marana, Green Valley, and Southern Arizona. We have over 150 members in our chapter. Our monthly meetings are held the second Friday of each month at the Doubletree Hotel Reid Park. For more information about our meetings please click here

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy, established in 1974, serves AFP members with programs of education, research and service. Through the Every Member Campaign (EMC), AFP members support the Foundation, taking the opportunity to demonstrate appreciation for the professional development we continually enjoy through our association with this fine organization, as well as the friendships we have made among our colleagues.
This year our chapter's EMC goal is $7,500. Naturally, our first step has been to mobilize our Chapter’s board members into action. The board has challenged itself to raise half of this amount - $3,250 - through 100% participation we have achieved success! We are now turning to the general membership to reach our goal.

Essentials of Fundraising
The Southern Arizona Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is once again offering a series of workshops called the Essentials of Fundraising that is designed to provide comprehensive introductory-level training on fundraising theory and practice.
The Essentials curriculum was developed by experienced fundraising professionals and is presented across the country to meet the real-world needs and challenges that non-profit organizations and fundraisers face every day. The Essentials series will be offered in Tucson this spring as part of our mission to provide quality training that is rooted in best practices and ethical standards to fundraising professionals.
